The Los Roques Archipelago corresponds to an extensive coral atoll located in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 168 kilometers north of La Guaira, the port of Caracas.

It is made up of about 50 islands and about 300 cays and sandbanks, the main and only populated island being the Gran Roque.
