Our goal is to offer air cargo service as an alternative to meet the needs of companies and event agencies in Venezuela that require the transfer of air cargo to the destination Los Roques; and through the charter service for other destinations.
The use of proper packaging is essential to ensure proper handling of your cargo. Below you will find useful recommendations for the packaging of the main products we transport:
For an efficient handling of your air cargo in bulk, you should use new boxes, made with corrugated cardboard since they are more resistant and keep the products according to their nature; This is because they are constructed using a corrugated paper midrib structure glued to the crests of the wave. We always suggest certified cardboard boxes, which contain the marks that detail the maximum weight of product that the boxes can contain, maximum stackable quantity, etc.
All shipments presented in powder form must have internal and external packaging (combined packaging). This will allow proper handling and transportation of the product.
This combined packaging must be made up of an inner packing of polyethylene bags, inside an outer packing secured with adhesive packing tape. For safety reasons for personnel, the product (powders) must be prevented from coming into contact with the eyes, skin, being inhaled or ingested.
Note: If the shipment in powder form is classified as a Dangerous Goods, please consult the specifications of the Manual of Dangerous Goods Regulations .
When the boxes are stacked to form a skid (pallet), the stowage index must be considered, that is, the number of boxes that are being stacked, to prevent them from yielding / failing due to the weight of the content . The marks on the outside of the boxes must be verified (when they are visible) and verify that no more boxes have been stacked than those indicated, and / or the maximum limit of internal content weight that can support (tare).
The pallets must contain strapping (metal or plastic) and corner pieces, in this way the skid (pallet) will not be dismantled when handled. The client must consider what kind of strap will be placed in the cargo packaging, so that it is not counterproductive and damages the cargo.
During the rainy season, it is recommended to protect with plastic all shipments that are susceptible to water or that may present damage when wet.
We suggest that for perishable goods you use corrugated cardboard boxes paraffinized inside and outside, in order to protect the integrity of the packaging and the product against water condensation due to changes in temperature (entrances and exits of refrigeration chambers).
For the shipment of fresh fish and shellfish, a packaging that allows the protection and freshness of the product during transport is essential, you must use polyethylene bags with the following characteristics accompanied by one of the types of box that we describe below:
The product must go inside two polyethylene bags of sufficient thickness to retain liquids and that are resistant to tears by the sharp parts of the product (fins, thorns, pliers, etc.). Both bags must have a minimum thickness of 40 microns (i.e. 0.040 mm) and must be sealed by the customer by means of plastic zipper, clips, elastic bandages or heat press sealing to prevent liquid leakage, except when shipping seafood. alive.
•  Waterproof / Wet lock boxes: All boxes must have a multi-sandwich construction, as well as waxed impregnated or waterproofed on the inside and outside of the box. It must have a top loading capacity of at least 228.8 kilograms (503 pounds), reinforced corners at the top and bottom, and a top that extends fully over the bottom. If you offer bulk shipments, any styrofoam material will not be accepted. Outer packaging must be waxed and waterproofed cardboard.
•  Styrofoam / duroport / duparax / tecnoport boxes: These must be used only for internal packaging, and must be covered by a second polyethylene bag of the thickness described above. p>
•  Corrugated cardboard boxes: All corrugated cardboard boxes must be waxed or treated by another waterproof process. Staples used in packaging must not break internal gaskets. Cartons must have a minimum top loading capacity of 228.8 kilograms (503 pounds).
All shipments of dangerous goods must comply with the packaging requirements described in the Dangerous Goods Regulations in force.
